The CEO of Summit Internet (one of our partners), Greg Lipschitz, has weighed in on the cost of delivering a good service through the NBN on the ABC.
The cost of delivering 100 mbps, 100% of the time is $1750 per month.
Its just not possible at those costs to provide a decent business grade connect with those sorts of input costs.
This makes NBN a very poor choice for most business customers as they rely on their internet for revenue generating purposes. Any slowness can cost these businesses $1000's of dollars in lost productivity.
So whats the solution? Well there are a number of business grade technologies we can help you implement which come with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
A SLA states the service you will receive and the consequences for the provider should they not meet those service levels.
Update
Looks like the CVC might be getting dropped. See the link below.
So what CVC are you getting?
On average, industry sources tell me that premium ISPs, such as Telstra, are provisioning for 3 megabits of CVC per user per month. Meanwhile, cheapskate providers are provisioning between 0.5 Megabits and 1.5 Megabits per user per month on average. https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2017/10/its-official-a-cheaper-nbn-is-coming/
