Welcome to Keeper!
Uptake Digital provides Keeper as part of our Managed Services. Keeper is an easy-to-use password and passkey manager, available for your company laptop and phone, allowing you to securely store your passwords and login credentials in an encrypted password vault.
How to set up Keeper
Please follow the instructions in the Keeper invitation that you will receive.
Your Keeper account authenticates using your Microsoft account credentials, no additional password is required. Simply type your company email address.
When you first sign in, you will be required to accept the Keeper transfer policy. This will allow your passwords to be securely transferred to a colleague in case you leave the organisation.
If you require assistance setting up your account, please book a time with one of our technicians here: Uptake Digital - Book a Technician.
You can also watch this video for further assistance; noting that there is no need to set a master password, as you will be using your Microsoft account details.
Import your browser passwords
If you are already storing passwords in your web browser, please follow the instructions in this video to import them into Keeper.
Browser extension
The Keeper browser extension will by default be automatically installed on your
company device for the Microsoft Edge browser.
Once installed, you can pin the extension to your browser menu by clicking the jigsaw
icon in the top right corner and selecting the pin icon next to Keeper. This ensures you
can easily access Keeper from within your browser.
To sign into the browser, press the Keeper icon and follow the prompts to enter your email. Once the icon is green, you are logged in and can access your passwords via the extension and enable KeeperFill to autofill your passwords on websites.
Keeper have numerous "how to" videos on their website, which you can view at your leisure. However, we highly recommend the following videos to get you started:
- Welcome to Keeper
- Create your Account
- Autofill With KeeperFill
- Keeper 101 - KeeperFill (iOS); or
- Keeper 101 - KeeperFill (Android)
Sharing passwords
There might be times when it is necessary to share passwords. If this is necessary, and in line with your company policies, please refer to these videos:
Free Family License for Personal Use
Keeper also offers a free Keeper Family Plan, allowing you and up to 4 other family members to have a Keeper account to store your personal passwords. The Keeper Family Plan is completely separate to your work account. This means that your company never has any access to your personal passwords, and you can comfortably keep sensitive work and personal passwords separately.
Please follow these instructions to set up your Free Family Plan. Ensure that you set up the account in the US data centre to activate your free plan.
