How to fix Onedrive Sync Errors on invisible files - Office 365

Still present temporary files are often to blame for the sync icon still showing on folders where all the other files are showing ticks.

Below we explain how to do it manually and in Bulk.

Moving forward I temporarily changed the folder options as follows (Windows 10):

1. In File Explorer > View Tab > Options (All the way to the right)

2. View Tab

3. Select the radio button for "Show hidden files, folders, and drives"

4. Finally uncheck the box that shows "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)"

Then you can go through each folder showing sync icon and delete the ones causing issues.

Do you have a lot to do? We did, thats why we figured out a short cut

Download and install a File Search tool (we used a freeware one called Ultra Search)
Search for ~$ and then select all and delete all the files.

Remember to change all the settings back once you are done,
